Stiernhööksgymnasiet is beautifully located by the shores of Lake Siljan and is a high school with approximately 500 students. It is a unique high school with proud traditions and a student body from all over Sweden. The school has a documented high goal achievement with very good educational quality. The school offers programs in construction and civil engineering, economics, electrical and energy, natural resource management (with specializations in animal care, equestrian studies, and agriculture), natural sciences, social sciences, as well as four introductory programs. The school also has adapted national programs; forestry, land and animal management, as well as property, construction, and building. Additionally, the school offers national sports education (NIU) in equestrian sports and bandy, as well as local sports education (LIU) in various sports. There is a student dormitory with over 130 accommodation places, and a food production program as part of the agricultural education. Parts of the production are served in the municipality's kitchens. Thus, Rättvik has Sweden's most locally produced school meals.

Job Description

As a teacher with us, you will teach both university preparatory programs and vocational programs.

You will work closely with colleagues in teams and subject groups and be involved in the school's pedagogical development.

Your responsibilities include mentorship. You may also teach in the school's study sessions, be responsible for assessments and re-readings, and perform other tasks related to the teaching role.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified high school teacher in Swedish and religion who wants to make a difference for our students. If you have experience teaching in high school, especially in vocational programs, we consider that an advantage.

We value your ability to create safe and trusting relationships that enhance students' motivation and learning. You have good didactic skills and a clear and present leadership in the classroom.

With us, you will be part of a collegium that collaborates and develops together. We are in an exciting process of change, including related to the subject grading reform, and we are looking for someone who wants to contribute to collaborative learning in both subject groups and teams.
